Grateful DeadSirius XM will be broadcasting several shows from The Dead’s spring 2009 tour – the band’s first tour in five years – exclusively on the Grateful Dead Channel (Sirius channel 32 and XM channel 57).

The live broadcasts will kick off with The Dead’s show at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA, on Saturday, April 18th.
Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmannof formed the

title of the band that was formed after Jerry Garcia’s death in 1995).

Sirius XM’s Grateful Dead Channel will provide Dead fans with the only on-air opportunity to hear the highly-anticipated concerts. In addition to live concerts, Sirius XM listeners will also hear behind-the-scenes updates from various stops along on the tour.

The band’s archivist and host of “Today in Grateful Dead History,” David Lemieux and noted author, Dead community member and co-host of the live talk show “Tales from the Golden Road,” Gary Lambertwill both lend their insight from many of the stops on the band’s tour.

Listeners can join the Grateful Dead community with their own reviews and thoughts about the spring tour by calling 1-877-767-DEAD.
